30 years ago, when I first saw the runes, I experienced a resonance that required no explanation.
No ‘they are in my DNA’
No ‘I was born on their land’
No ‘my language directly descends from them’
No ‘their stories speak to me more than other paths’.
It turns out all those things were true – but they were discovered later as serendipitous affirmations, not direct causes. In that moment, a teenager in my local bookshop, transfixed by symbols on a front cover: I just knew the runes were meant to be in my life. My soul medicine, my spirit compass, my path to wholeness.
Spirituality is the pursuit of soul. The tending of who we are rather than what we do. It is not attached to a particular pantheon, practice or set of beliefs. We each choose the roads that lead towards our particular horizon: the place our soul knows as home.
Here are some of the things my students tell me made Awaken to the Runes the chosen road for their soul journey:
When the awakening sessions become live, the power song is where I go first. Through the sound vibration I gather all the messages and downloads. When I listen to the description, I notice I already know most of the information just from listening to the power songs prior. Thank you. So beautiful and of course powerful.
I want to thank you so much for all your work you have done to create such amazing community and an overflowing collection of resources to expand runic knowledge.
My personal favorite is the story telling. Maggie tells stories related to the nature of the runes so that we can better know them and use them. I believe that in these difficult and lonely times we need comfort and solace. I have found both sitting down with a nice cup of tea and listening to the tales. Maggie also has a beautiful, soothing voice! It is years since I listened to stories and I have realized what an amazing and ancient tradition it is.
Many years ago I put out a wish that I wanted to study the runes in such a way to really know them, not just intellectually, but in my bones. This course is making that wish a reality that grows more vivid with each module. I highly recommend this rune journey.
Over in the Hearthspace I’ve been running a free challenge for people who want to try out seership, visioning, healing and magic with the runes. If you’re thinking about joining Awaken this year the last challenge is still open and the seership and visioning challenges are available for you to try (no prizes left but there’s still the sheer joy of it). Dip in, give it a try – maybe this is the signpost to your next spirit road. If Awaken feels like the right step for you there’s still time to join this year’s cohort. Doors close on 24th June with our first Wisdom Working Circle taking place that night.
On Monday I introduced the paths of the Healer and the Mystic by exploring what can make us step away from their power. Catch up here:
P.S. If you are an Awaken graduate Mastery is now open to join. You can find out all about it and join here:
