Our ancestors did not learn the spiritual ways of their people and land from a book or a webpage. They lived them through story, ritual, and seership. Gentle immersion, moments of initiation, exploration in community, direct revelation from land and spirit. Your ticket gains entry to the following 3 events:
Hearth tending – Friday 9th December 8-9:30pm London time
Through winter the northern peoples celebrated the nights of the mothers. A time to honour the spirits of your hearth and connect with the divine feminine in the space of death, rest and renewal. Through this ceremony we will be working with the Asyniur, the handmaidens of the Goddess Frigga.
Soul wounding – Friday 16th December 8-9:30pm London time
The northern gods are not immortal, nor are they invulnerable. Their woundings are part of their journeys. Some carry woundings of the body, others of soul, status or destiny. Gather new insights into what it means to walk the worlds whole, to carry your wounds as part of that wholeness, to embrace vulnerability as part of the divine.
Edge-dwelling and exile – Friday 23rd December 8-9:30pm London time
To many of us, unbelonging is an all too familiar part of life. To experience the world differently, to know ‘home’ only in its absence, to hold different values and perspectives to those around you. Through 2023 the Magin Rose inner circle will be devoted to working with the edge-dwellers and exiles of the northern tradition cosmos. Hela, goddess of the underworld, Utgard-Loki, Skadi of the Jotun, the dark-elves, Freyja of the Vanir. This ceremony opens that year of work and provides a taster of what is to come.
- Is it suitable for beginners? Yes. You don’t need any prior knowledge of the northern tradition to attend.
- What if I can’t attend one or more of the events in person? You will have access to the recordings for a full month after the events.
