The Hagalaz full moon (that’s Scorpio for you western astrologers) offers a time of skin-shedding and change-making. Hagalaz is known as ‘the sickness of serpents’; the cold weather forces hibernation and a slowing of energy. In the northern hemisphere this can lead to changeable spiritual, physical and emotional weather as the forces of winter compete with the burgeoning forces of summer. This means you may feel tired one minute and energised the next. It also means new ideas and possibilities come bursting to the surface only to be swallowed whole by the sickness of our creator spirits: self-doubt. Lunar eclipses, Odin and Hela both in retreat mode (that’s Mercury and Pluto retrograde) all add to this sense of ‘one step forward two steps back’.
Reach within, pull out all the stops. Sleep when you need to, eat when you need to. What’s the one action you could do today to say ‘this day is mine’? Under the turbulence deeper access to conviction, certainty, purpose and power is slowly making its way to the surface.
