Here’s your weekly update on what planetary movements are coming up. As always, Middle Earth Readings for the week is published at the bottom of the page after the live event.

Our ability to see the divine light of humanity reflected in others and to respond with loving support is what sets our own divine light blazing. Odin’s Chariot (Roman equivalent Mercury) in Algiz brings blessing and wisdom. Algiz is the rune of protection, divine guidance and connection between the Earth and Heavens. Odin presents himself in two guises. He is the All-Father providing blessing to those who already honour him. He is also the traveller, going out amongst humanity as the elder, the needy, the entertainer, the joker, the vulnerable. This period is a return into Algiz for Odin retrograde; as such support offered can sometimes feel unsolicited, given in judgement/ conditionally, or simply not enough. Remember to not only ask for what you need in your gratitudes but also from your support network. Helping others is often the way we best help ourselves.

The sword the chalice, the cup and the dagger, the King and the Queen, the ice and the fire. Tyr’s Chariot (Roman equivalent Mars) is now entering Perthro the rune of mystery and the flow of wyrd. The mighty warrior God step’s into the realm of the Goddess as sorceress. Theirs is not a harmonious union. No peace beneath a blushing sky. No sweet words whispered under velvet sheets. Two matched powers, equal in potency and just as dangerous come together. Theirs is a dance upon the knife-edge. Theirs is the brilliant flame and the cutting fork of lightning. It is in alchemical spaces where different minds, diverse bodies and unique souls come together that true magic is created. The magic of real partnership and collaboration. Choose neither the path of conflict nor the path of comfort but the path of creativity. Ask yourself what would happen if you were able to resist both the urge to anger and to appease. What might be created in a space where your unique magic combined with that of your enemy?

Frigg’s Chariot (Roman equivalent Venus) in Perthro reminds us that the most powerful voice connecting us to wisdom is always our own. Frigg is known both for the power of her seership and the completeness of her silence. Perhaps she knows that when we share our dreams too early, we risk them being swept away in the flood of the voices around us. Perthro, the rune of wyrd, mystery, laughter and play offers gifts from our dreams and treasures from the depths of collective consciousness. Now is the time to light a candle and simply honour the voice calling you deep inside yourself. Trust that there will be a time for you to give voice and a time for you to build; but for now let silence be your sanctuary.

Sunna’s Chariot (the Sun) in Teiwaz gives momentum to your intentions. Teiwaz is the rune of victory, justice and action. Combined with the energy of Sunna it becomes the spear in motion, flying through the air towards its target. Whatever you have set in motion, do not falter now. You have done everything you can to prepare for this moment, take flight, do not resist, trust yourself.

This week we move into the half month of Teiwaz, normally known as a rune of movement and action. Nobility of character could not be better exemplified than through the great Sky-God Tyr, patron of the Teiwaz rune. Tyr is a God of Justice and the sacrifice of his hand demonstrates the strength of his character and his understanding of divine justice – the rune Teiwaz can be used for aid in legal matters (as long as you have right on your side!) and was also worn by warriors to ensure victory.
