Here’s your weekly update on what planetary movements are coming up. As always, Middle Earth Readings for the week is published at the bottom of the page after the live event.

Tyr’s Chariot (Roman equivalent Mars) in Wunjo reminds us that in mourning the past we must have a care not to give up on the future. Wunjo is the rune of joy, bliss and togetherness. It reminds Tyr of the joys of the past sacrificed to a noble cause. Even this mighty God of war, truth and virtue has moments where the sweet memories of the past swell up and remind him of all that is lost. Times when the voices of the ancestors penetrate the veils and stories sunk in memory dance rise up upon the surface of our minds. In such times he knows to give gratitude and grieve. The past can heal or poison, strengthen or weaken. Tyr knows that compassion and forgiveness towards oneself is just as necessary as compassion and forgiveness to others.

Manni’s Chariot (the Moon) moves through one rune approximately every 24 hours. The potency of the Full Moon energy is like a high tide leaving tracks in the sand as it departs – it forms a current over the coming month. Manni’s Chariot in Mannaz brings the sphere of the Moon into the domain of sovereignty, confidence and the divine found within each human heart. It offers us the possibility that our secret dreams may, just may be, the answers the world needs right now. That the songs in our hearts are not fantasies, luxuries or fancies distracting us from the mature, grown up and ‘sensible’ demands of the world but rather voice of our highest and most ancient selves calling us back into truth.

Odin is the All-Father, wanderer, king of the gods, warrior, sage, seer and more. Gladsheim means ‘bright home’ which might refer to the Sun or to the sudden brilliance of of lightning. It is said to have 13 high seats where the Gods hold court. Wunjo, Hagalaz and Nauthiz can fall within Odin’s sphere in a birth runes chart. Gladsheim is equivalent to Scorpio in the Zodiac.

We are currently in the half month of Wunjo, a rune embodying that sense of joy, belonging and well-being that comes from the people who you count as your kin. Work with Wunjo through rituals, big and small, that promote togetherness and communion.

Thank you for these. They really cheer up my week.
Also very exciting to see that Odin’s Gladsheim is this season!
