Here’s your weekly update on what planetary movements are coming up.  As always, Middle Earth Readings for the week is published at the bottom of the page after the live event.

Folkvang means ‘field of the host’ or ‘field of the warriors’ as Freyja claims half of the heroic dead as her guests. The hall is situated within a meadow and is said to contain nine castles. Freya’s is a passionate, intuitive and magical nature.  As well as being a warrioress she is the goddess of feminine mysteries, mistress of magick and patron of seidr (the art of communicating with the dead).  Ingaz, Othala and Dagaz fall within Skadi’s sphere in a birth runes chart.  Folkvang is equivalent to Gemini in the Zodiac.

Odin’s Chariot (Roman equivalent Mercury) in Dagaz brings new awareness of what is holding you back.  Limiting beliefs, the dead-weight of old emotions, wounds that need to heal.  We are all familiar with the child who wants the light left on because they are afraid of the darkness.  In adult life we play this out my ignoring, repressing and denying.  Odin reminds us that when the light goes out the darkness is still there.  Breathe.  Let your eyes adjust and open to what is quietly waiting for you.  Often it is power, hidden beneath pain or fear.

We are currently in the half month of Inguz, a rune that symbolises gestation. The Inguz rune is a container of energy in potential,  it can be used very effectively in magical workings to hold energy ready for release. Find out more on Inguz here.
