Here’s your weekly update on what’s going on with the planetary movements and what events are coming up in the Hearthspace.
Thor’s Chariot in Sowilo channels the brilliant life force of the Sun into the fertile land. Thor’s Hammer, Mjolnir, blesses the Earth, ensuring good harvest and abundance. The bright solar power of Sowilo is channelled through the structured, formative Hammer enabling us to create and manifest. Those of you resonate with strong fire runes such as Thurisaz and Dagaz may want to watch that the power of Mjolnir doesn’t radiate out into its more destructive form – tempers can fray when the stakes are high.
Odin’s Chariot in Berkano calls forth the partnership of Odin and Loki bringing out the trickster energy in both these formidable deities. Odin is willy, cunning and crafty while Loki is changeable, quick-silver, rude and treacherous. Who can speak truth to a King but the trickster? Who alleviates suffering with healing laughter? Who pulls us down when our egos have become too inflated? The trickster is an essential part of each of us. He/ she opens us to creativity, healing, play and cunning. Ever noticed that the cleverest animals can also be the cruellest? The trickster does, indeed, have two sides. The only way influence which side lands face up is to recognise you are the coin.
Middle Earth Readings
We are currently in the half month of Ehwaz, a rune of speed and connection. Ehwaz holds within it that strange dream-like state where boundaries blur, time runs both fast and slow and anything is possible. Find out more on Ehwaz here.
