Here are our tips for the week ahead helping you tune in to the song of the planets. Plus a peak into what we are up to in our community Hearthspace.

Sunna’s Chariot (the Sun) is now in Perthro the rune of uncertainty, opportunity, change, risk and reward. In some ways it is similar to the Wheel of Fortune in the tarot. It brings both a sense of anticipation and instability. It can present as an impatience to move forward but the key to flowing with Perthro is presence to the moment. Perthro is known as a rune of play, song and joy. It reminds us that fair winds, brighter prospects and happier times are found more frequently by those who kindle them without and within.
Dance in your light and even the dread face of Winter sorrow will turn towards the Spring.

Manni’s Chariot (the Moon ) moves through one rune approximately every 24 hours. The edge of the new Moon is as a scythe cutting through what has come before and reaching towards desire, hope and purpose. It forms a moment for release, clarity and intention setting. Manni’s Chariot in Sowilo (the Sun) forms a powerful combination with the earlier full Moon in Dagaz (Day). It provides a potency of energy that was absent for at least some of us at the calendar ‘New Year’ at the beginning of the month. Resolutions, commitments and insights should be noted and affirmed at this time – there are still challenges to come which this period is helping us prepare for.

Odin’s Chariot (Roman equivalent Mercury) in Algiz brings blessing and wisdom. Algiz is the rune of protection, divine guidance and connection between the Earth and Heavens. Odin presents himself in two guises. He is the All-Father providing blessing to those who already honour him. He is also the traveller, going out amongst humanity as the elder, the needy, the entertainer, the joker, the vulnerable. Our ability to see the divine light of humanity reflected in others and to respond with loving support is what sets our own divine light blazing.

Frigg’s Chariot (Roman equivalent Venus) in Eihwaz reminds us that, beneath the outer shell of most things exists an original intention founded in love. A company, a painting, a glass on your shelf. A marriage, a law, a movement. Frigg runs her hands over the trunk of the World Tree where the present moment is inscribed. She reads the runes that speak of violence, suffering loss, greed, anger and fear. Beneath the words her fingers feel the pulse of life, the desire to protect, to create, to be seen, to be understood. reminds us that life has already equipped us to take on the challenges of the present moment. Eihwaz offers the strength needed to choose to see the light within the dark; to oppose without judgement and to understand without repeating.
