Teachings rooted in the Northern tradition for brilliant, creative, magical people with big dreams for themselves and their world

Magin Rose
Odin's Chariot (Roman equivalent Mercury) in Raidh Odin's Chariot (Roman equivalent Mercury) in Raidho speaks of the Wild Hunt pounding across the dark skies unfettered, unbound and bare before the storm. Is your day governed by rules, habits and expectations disconnected from nature and the rhythms of your own knowing body? It is our escapes into the wild, unexplored places within the world without and within where we find our way back into unity, harmony and connection. Make way for rebellion. Walk barefoot, sleep when the sun sleeps, dance in the rain, embrace your wildness. #odin #shaman #sacreddrum #astrology #wyrdweaving #mercury
Tyr's Chariot (Roman equivalent Mars) in Inguz the Tyr's Chariot (Roman equivalent Mars) in Inguz the rune of the divine hero calls forth the most noble and self-sacrificing elements of both Ing and the warrior-priest Tyr. In modern minds sacrifice is often interpreted as loss or giving up but the term also means to 'make sacred'. Tyr's Chariot in Inguz encourages us not only to make sacrifices to that which we hold precious but to recognise the nobility of that sacrifice. Many have given up their lives, their freedom and their dreams for something they valued above all these. The small sacrifices we make every day honour the larger sacrifices others have made for us. We do not always choose what we are called to sacrifice - but we can choose the spirit in which that sacrifice is made. #tyr #inguz #wyrdweaving #destinyweaving #edgewalking #frithweaving #hedgesitter #mars
Frigg's Chariot (Roman equivalent Venus) in Uruz c Frigg's Chariot (Roman equivalent Venus) in Uruz calls forth the splendour of the drinking hall and the greatness of each journeying spirit. Uruz is the rune of the aurochs, a mighty creature sadly now extinct. In the hands of Frigg the aurochs horn becomes a sacred vessel over which boasts and oaths are made. Uruz supports you in recognising your strength and drawing on your deepest physical, emotional, mental and spiritual resources. #frigg #wyrdweaving #oracle #uruz #venus #astrology #middleearthreadings
Loki's Chariot (Roman equivalent Saturn) in Algiz Loki's Chariot (Roman equivalent Saturn) in Algiz tests our resolve and our plans. Algiz is the rune of protection, guidance and knowledge from the divine. Loki, the Trickster God casts a shadow over even the most well-laid plans. When doubt creeps in it can be a healthy dose of pragmatism asking you to check you've turned the gas off. It can also be the shadow-self calling you to resist change and let someone else take responsibility for your heroic journey. People might laugh at you - so what? You might fail? Well, if you don't do it you can guarantee failure. The voice of Loki should never be dismissed but once you've checked the gas and made every preparation you can you've simply GOT TO JUMP. #loki #destinyweaving #algiz #runicastrology #maginrose #lokididit #saturn #saturnretrograde
Tyr's Chariot (Roman equivalent Mars) is now in La Tyr's Chariot (Roman equivalent Mars) is now in Laguz, the rune of water. Beneath the surface the sword glints, speaking of long-gone heroes. It enchants us with promises of glory, inviting us to dive beneath the waters and share its fate. Tyr reminds us that the sword beneath the water is an illusion. Sometimes the legends of the past can spur us on, reminding us that our ancestors were just human, like us. We see through the illusion to the rusted hilt and dull blade. We celebrate them but turn our faces to the horizon of our own destinies. We know that the sword beneath the water has already served its purpose, its time is done. To the unwise the water-sword chains us to a vision of perfection, bind us into inadequacy or (at the other end of the balance) lures us into ego where we believe we have matched and even surpassed those who have gone before us. This can never be true, for they have already taken a journey beyond where we can see.
Pride come before a fall, they are too big for the Pride come before a fall, they are too big for their boots, who do they think they are? I don't know about you but where I come from boasting about your achievements is considered, at best, impolite and, at worst, likely to cause immediate bad luck and failure. Odin's Chariot (Roman equivalent Mercury) in Uruz asks us the very simple question: why is it not okay to claim our power? Does it somehow diminish others? Does being good at what I do, passionate about my cause or elated in my triumph make me undeserving? Odin encourages us to step out of the shadow of the taboos about owning our own power. Those who stand shoulder to shoulder with us and are at peace with their own power will do nothing but feel absolutely fantastic when we make peace with ours. I raise my cup to you in the knowledge that your triumph can never diminish mine but has the power to inspire more greatness in others then they have yet dreamt.
Sunna's Chariot (the Sun) is now in Uruz the rune Sunna's Chariot (the Sun) is now in Uruz the rune of the mighty aurochs, strength and formation. Uruz contains within it the wild spirit of nature and the peace of the vast earth. It calls us into integrity and opens our hearts to communion with the vast expanses of the soul. When we are struggling it offers both healing energy and the stamina to push through. Find its power in the bones of the earth, the wild blue of the open sky and the beat of the hooves of herd animals on the great plains of the earth. Honour it through keeping the secret promises of your heart and by tending to the partnership with the earth that each of us enters into as a creature of this planet.
Manni's Chariot (the Moon ) moves through one rune Manni's Chariot (the Moon ) moves through one rune approximately every 24 hours. The potency of the Full Moon energy is like a high tide leaving tracks in the sand as it departs - it forms a current over the coming month. Manni's Chariot in Eihwaz (the rune of the yew tree, defensive strength and eternal life) brings an invitation to pause and reflect. Let yourself take root. Let yourself stand tall. Let yourself feel the might of the earth beneath your feet and the nearness of the stars when you open to greet them. This Moon brings a protective energy to your intentions and endeavours in the month ahead. Stand in your fullness and be received by the universe; the web of wyrd will open to support you.

The Anglo Saxon's called this month's moon the Grain Moon.
Frigg's Chariot (Roman equivalent Venus) in Dagaz Frigg's Chariot (Roman equivalent Venus) in Dagaz speaks of the seership skills of the Goddess Frigg. She is known for her second sight and the great tragedy of her life is foretelling the death of her son but not being able to avert it. All great teachers instruct through doing more than telling. Their enthusiasm, passion, commitment and integrity are just as powerful as their knowledge. Frigg's Chariot asks you to consider how you share your gifts and knowledge with the world. What is your intention in doing so? Do you know when to support and when to challenge? Choose wisely when you instruct and when you hold back; the journey is not always yours to take.
Sunna’s Chariot (the Sun) in Fehu (the rune of l Sunna’s Chariot (the Sun) in Fehu (the rune of life force, cattle and wealth) invites us into the opulent splendour of life. It is the warm flow of your blood, the sun on your back, the glint of gold on the sea, the electricity between lovers and the abundance of the earth mothers. The half month of Fehu is an excellent time to start (or renew) a daily practice of gratitude and giving. Focus on the small things: a call to a friend, a donation of time; buying ethically; blessing the food you prepare for others. Fehu is the first rune in the Elder Futhark symbolising a renewal of the runic wheel, a new cycle starts at the rune's highest point: midsummer.

In a typical year if your birthday falls between 29th June and 14th July your Sun Rune is Fehu.
