Runes: Elder Futhark in clay, rich green
These vibrant runes are approximately 18mm each and are painted in rich green speckled gold with the runes themselves in a, contrasting, deep red (the traditional colour for runes).

Each of my rune sets is hand made and every clay rune set will be unique. Legend has it that the Norns (three ‘fates’) protect the great World Tree by smoothing white dew or clay over its bark – these sets are made with white clay in keeping with this tradition. This set is fully painted and has been varnished multiple times to protect the paintwork. Please be aware, however, that they shouldn't be thrown about quite as vigorously as you might do with a wooden set (always use a soft cloth when casting).
Your set comes with a cotton bag to keep your runes safe and a leaflet covering how to start working with your rune set, simple spreads and the rune meanings. Clay takes on energy very fast which means you will be able to form a relationship with your rune set very quickly – it also means it will take on the energies of those you read for quicly and your leaflet therefore includes techniques for regularly cleansing your runes.
