Writing
Below are some excerpts and links to books I have been published in recently. I love writing, drawing and painting and my contributions include pictures as well as written pieces – you can see some of my pictures on my ‘artwork’ page as well as scattered about the site.
I am currently working on 24 short stories inspired by the Elder Futhark, a practical guide and reference work for the Elder Futhark, and an exploration of Greek devotional practice.

Vs. is a unique collection of twenty-one essays exploring the dynamic and wide-ranging nature of duality in magic, paganism and folklore, from polarity to paradox to opposition to friction to union. The essays by magicians, witches, folklorists, sorcerors, Norse and vodou practitioners, weave together diverse threads of wisdom, knowledge, experience and inspiration into a tapestry of fallen angels, heroes, gods, goddesses, fairies, lwa, dreams, myths and stories.

Following the success of Hekate: Keys to the Crossroads (below), Sorita D’Este of Avalonia masterminded this much larger project. This A4 volume brings together the work of over 50 mystics, priestess/es and devotees of Hekate – each of whom shares their own experiences of working with this multi-faceted Goddess. The book also has its own webpage where you can find out more about Hekate, the book, its contributors and the world-wide Rite of Her Sacred Fires which took place in the same week as the book launched.
“…prose and artwork from around the world exploring the mysteries and sharing visions of the torchbearing triple Goddess of the Crossroads”
From a drop of water, Kim Huggens (ed), 2009

“…17 essays by some of the foremost modern esoteric writers, pagan scholars and magickal practitioners. Each contribution reflects the writer’s own understanding and passion for Water, and in doing so they share their unique insights, experiences and their diverse research on the subject with the reader.”
Water’s mystery is that of surface and depth – it reflects back at us like a mirror but its surface is also the entrance to immense, mysterious depths. The treasures of both truth and the unknowable can therefore be sought through work with water. Our relationship with water is both on of potential pleasure and transformation and one of potential suffering and loss (Extract from my contribution).

“…the work of more than twenty people, including dedicated scholars and modern day mystics. Through their written and artistic contributions they illustrate some of the many manifestations of the Horned God.”
He played the flute to me
His great horns spread out above us, bathed in light
His song was of the dancing sunlight,
a heartfelt prayer by candlelight,
Of the playful wind and the cold realm of the dead
Of the beating hearts of the living and of the great Wild Hunt
Of the need for both fear and courage in the hearts of all creatures,
His song was of peace and sorrow, joy and pain, hope and loss.
His song was of himself. (Extract from my contribution)

“Hekate is one of the most fascinating Goddesses of the Ancient World. Loved, feared, hated and worshipped by people throughout history, the Witch Goddess of the Crossroads, facing three-ways, with her three faces, remains an image of power and awe in the modern world today, amongst those who understand and respect her power…This book… brings together the experiences and perceptions of more than twenty modern day Witches, Priestesses and Priests all of whom work with this awesom Greek Goddess in the UK today.”
I contributed both the front cover illustration and a discussion of the devotional work put in during the creation of the picture as well as its two sister pictures (featured inside).
